Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Dallas County

Join our team: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Dallas County, Iowa. You will be based on a busy housing site. Day to day you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 5+ years on the tools preferred.
