Garment machinist wanted in Douglas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Douglas County, Missouri. On the job you will handle: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
