We are recruiting: milling machinist (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machinist in East Ayrshire, Scotland. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. Day to day you will keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery. Ideal candidate: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls 6+ years on the tools preferred.
