Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Sabine County, Texas. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Part-time with flexible hours. $15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
