Foundry operative • Lewis County, Washington

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lewis County, Washington. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
