Milling machinist • Thayer County, Nebraska

Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Thayer County, Nebraska. The job is at a fabrication and machining plant. Day-to-day duties: • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm You should have: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to grind and set HSS cutters At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
