You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Overtime paid at a premium rate.
