We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Graham County, Kansas. Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 3+ years on the tools preferred.
