Great opportunity: retail butcher (North Carolina)

Now hiring: we are hiring a retail butcher in Ashe County, North Carolina. You will be based in a meat processing plant. Day to day you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Rotating shifts.
