Day-to-day duties: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Part-time with flexible hours.
