Urgent requirement: cook (Maine)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cook in Penobscot County, Maine. The job is in a catering banquet kitchen. You should have: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets Day to day you will knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; prepare the mise en place before each service; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift.
