Bricklayer — Santa Cruz County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Santa Cruz County, California. The job is at a residential building site. The role involves forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Six days a week, one day off.
