Gtaw welder — Wilkin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Wilkin County, Minnesota. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 4+ years on the tools preferred.
