Day to day you will fault-find control boards and defrost timers; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil.
