Great opportunity: we are hiring a mason's helper in Trego County, Kansas. You will be based on a metro and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain The role involves: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience.
