Garment presser wanted in Clinton County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment presser in Clinton County, Michigan. The job is at a textile finishing unit. On the job you will handle: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Six days a week, one day off.
