Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Jasper County, Texas. On a typical shift you will lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Rotating shifts.
