Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Colorado County, Texas. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
