Shuttering carpenter — City of Danville

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in City of Danville, Virginia. Day to day you will build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
