Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Baldwin County, Alabama. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp.
