Reinforcement fitter • Highland, Scotland

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Highland, Scotland. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Your main tasks: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Meals and transport allowance provided.
