Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Placer County, California. On the job you will handle: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Part-time with flexible hours.
