Machinist wanted in Gilchrist County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Gilchrist County, Florida. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
