Workshop mechanic wanted in Putnam County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a workshop mechanic in Putnam County, Illinois. You will be based in a fleet maintenance depot. On a typical shift you will replace alternators, starter motors and batteries; read fault codes and clear them after the repair; diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool; road-test vehicles to confirm the repair; carry out oil and filter changes; bleed the brake hydraulic lines and check pad wear. You should have: • ITI / NVQ Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines Full-time, day shift. We offer $28 per hour plus benefits.
