Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Clinton County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience.
