Requirements: • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change • Clear spoken communication and a polite, friendly manner • Prior experience as a waiter in a restaurant or hotel Your main tasks: • Greet guests, seat them and present the menu • Upsell starters, desserts and beverages • Punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket) • Follow food hygiene and allergen-handling rules • Carry loaded trays and serve plated dishes to the right table Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
