GTAW welder • Yankton County, South Dakota

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Yankton County, South Dakota. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Your main tasks: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience.
