Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Miller County, Missouri. You will work on a high-rise slab pour. Requirements: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds Your main tasks: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab Part-time with flexible hours.
