Hoist operator • Rockingham County, Virginia

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Rockingham County, Virginia. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Day-to-day duties: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
