What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection You will read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges.
