Milling machinist — Borough of Stockport

Join our team: we are hiring a milling machinist in Borough of Stockport, England. On the job you will handle: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. £2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
