Panel technician — South Central Connecticut Planning Region

Join our team: we are hiring a panel technician in South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a busy body shop. Day to day you will feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $19 per hour, based on your experience. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
