Urgent requirement: garment machinist (New York)

Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Chemung County, New York. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus You will keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers.
