Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Scott County, Kansas. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day to day you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints.
