Structural MIG welder • Missaukee County, Michigan

Now hiring: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Missaukee County, Michigan. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. Day-to-day duties: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes 2+ years on the tools preferred.
