Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Edmonson County, Kentucky. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. The role involves: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
