Great opportunity: fabricator-welder (Minnesota)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Pine County, Minnesota. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Part-time with flexible hours.
