Chiller technician — Isles of Scilly

Vacancy available: we are hiring a chiller technician in Isles of Scilly, England. You will work at a busy refrigeration workshop. On a typical shift you will wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges. Ideal candidate: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds 2+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
