Counter butcher • Taos County, New Mexico

Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Taos County, New Mexico. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. The role involves: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
