Urgent requirement: pipe tig welder (Vermont)

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Franklin County, Vermont. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Meals and transport allowance provided.
