The role involves shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder. You should have: • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports Rotating shifts.
