Great opportunity: reinforcement steel fixer (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Chippewa County, Michigan. You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling On a typical shift you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust.
