Trowel-trade bricklayer — Milam County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Milam County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 3+ years on the tools preferred.
