CO2 welder • Union County, South Dakota

Now hiring: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Union County, South Dakota. You will work at a busy production line. On the job you will handle: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Requirements: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Full-time with occasional weekends.
