Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Essex County, Virginia. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Share your details and we will call you back.
