The role involves: • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray Requirements: • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
