Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site safety steward in Appanoose County, Iowa. The job is on a high-rise building project. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Day to day you will record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
