Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Orange County

Join our team: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Orange County, Texas. You will be based on a new-build development. The role involves spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $7,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
