Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Falkirk, Scotland. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 1+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around £2,900 per month, based on your experience.
