We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in Saunders County, Nebraska. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Day-to-day duties: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Full-time, day shift.
